Accutech Engineering Inc. was retained by DEM Controls and the Montreal Lake Cree Nation to complete design and construction administration services for the development of a new Health Centre in Montreal Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.
The 1,413m2 facility provides health care support to the approximately 1,200 residents of Montreal Lake Cree Nation. The facilities support a variety of services including an emergency unit, ambulance bay, onsite ambulance garage, clinic space, office space, nursing residence, dental treatment, records storage, and a pharmacy.
The building was designed to feature many of the systems that Accutech has developed for use in remote High Arctic communities. This includes a robust and efficient building envelope, elevated building, vandal-resistant windows, failsafe mechanical and electrical plant, welcoming atmosphere, and inclusion of local and traditional design concepts.
