In September 2019 Accutech was engaged by the Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) to provide Prime Consultant, Engineering, and Architectural services for the design and construction of a new Head Office Building.
The QEC is a Crown Corporation wholly owned by the Government of Nunavut that provides power generation and distribution to 25 communities in Nunavut. The new two-storey, 1400 sq m Head Office Building to house the IT, Finance, and Human Resource Departments of the QEC. As the primary power utility in the Territory of Nunavut, the design of this building will reflect the operational, environmental, and social responsibilities of the Territory as well as the mandate of the QEC.
In order to meet this challenge, Accutech has created a design team that is experienced in Northern Design and delivery of efficient, socially responsible buildings. Accutech will be delivering prime consultant services as well as structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering. Accutech has partnered with No. 10 Architects for the architectural design of the QEC Head Office and has retained Turtle Island Innovations for the delivery of Energy Analysis and Energy Efficiency design services.
